1/1

Feeling sluggish? Not inspired by your food? Need to take a break? Whether you do a full-day juice cleanse or a full-month juice-fast detox, the benefits of giving your body a break from all that digesting is immense. This is a good way to cut meat, dairy, grains, cafeine, sugar, and processed foods from your diet. By drinking all your daily essential nutrients (and more!), you’re letting your gut rest and repair with a flood of raw nutrition. A ratio of 90% vegetables to 10% fruit avoids spiking blood sugar levels and maintains a steady satiety throughout the day. It’s easy (and more cost-effective) to make your own juices at home. (It also influences you to buy more from the produce section!) Purchase all organic produce, if possible, to avoid the

pesticides and chemicals. Not ready for a fast? Even by adding a fresh juice to your

daily intake will give your body a natural boost and benefit.

Here is my experience with the first Juice Fast that I did a few years ago.

Some of my favorite combinations are:

  • Beetroot, carrot, celery, lemon, orange, gingerroot, basil

  • Romaine, pear, lemon, ginger root, carrots, golden beets

  • Beetroot, gingerroot, oranges, carrots, sweet potato

  • Tomatoes, celery, spinach, cucumber, basil – it's gazpacho!

  • Kale, cucumber, celery, pear, lemon, ginger root

  • Spinach, romaine, cilantro, blueberries, blend w 1/2 avocado

  • Kale, cucumber, lime, brussels sprouts, green leaf lettuce, basil

  • Kale, romaine, mango, pineapple
